This 100% owned project will create wealth and a brighter future for the people of Norway House Cree Nation & surrounding communities, while also protecting the sacred environment.

The Minago Critical Minerals Project is the first, 100% First Nation owned, critical minerals asset in Canada.

    Minago Quarry

    The Minago Quarry project will quarry the abundance of dolomite and use it to produce Magnesium, construction materials, cement and silica sand.

    Magnesium Production

    The Minago Ni/PGM deposit sits under about 60 m of dolomite (a type of limestone) cover-rock. Development of the Ni/PGM deposit will first require quarrying 111 million tonnes of dolomite.

    The NHCN remote camps have the capacity to accommodate 124 people in 9 different camps. Some are fully equipped with kitchen and dining facilities - perfect for mine, forestry and construction crews.

Employment and Training

TAKE THE FIRST STEP

  • Starting in late October, we are beginning a training program at the Minago site where the trainees will receive on-the-job training working on the crusher as we crush limestone to specified sizes. Training will include on-site heavy equipment. Trainees will also stay in our Tower Camp.
